Rose Cottage

Reviews

Would recommend Rose Cottage as it was clean and well equipped, there was also a very good bus service into York every ten minutes. The cottage however was not a cottage but an end terraced house in a quiet location. The welcome pack was a really nice touch, cooked breakfast, supplied plus bread milk and preserves. Would go back again and will spread the word.

I would certainly recommend Rose Cottage to anybody who is looking for holiday accomodation in York. The owners are most helpful and friendly. The cottage is beautifully decorated and has all necessary facilities for a very comfortable stay, and you can walk into the city easily and fast (15min)!

Excellent base for York city centre. Quiet residential area with plenty of shops nearby. Very well furnished.

Rose Cottage is ideal for visiting York without a car, as it is just a few minutes from a bus stop with a regular service into the city. A welcome pack consisting of bread, bacon, eggs, coffee, tea and milk is left for all vistors and the house is clean and comfortable. We recommend visiting the National Railway Museum which has free admittance, and also the Castle Museum. Also don't forget to treat yourselves to tea and a cake at Betty's in the centre of town.

It is in a very quiet area and it is an ideal base for York. It only takes about 20 minutes to walk into the centre and it is on a regular bus route. The owners provide some bacon, eggs, bread, milk and cereal. It's even got a dish washer and washer complete with instructions!

Everything we needed was provided and we were only 15 minutes walk from the centre of York. We had a brilliant time and would happily return to the same spot.

A lovely cottage close to the city centre - I can recommed to all!

York is a great place to visit, the cottage was cosy, only 15 minute walk to the York Minster. On arrival we were shown around the cottage, there was milk, tea, coffee, bread & bacon ready for us after a long journey, and boy did we need them. The welcome was excellent, the cottage was very clean, only one negative comment to make, there were no instructions for any of the appliances, like the dishwasher & washing machine. But overall it was a great little cottage, would recommend it to anyone visiting York.

A very warm welcome and a nice cottage with a lovely homely feel, allowing us the freedom to explore York and the surrounding area at our own pace, get back to the cottage and relax in comfort!

A quiet location with easy access to the beautiful historical city of York. We couldn't have asked for more generous and welcoming owners - a great place to stay!
